After thoughts of suicide, he changed his career and ended up working in youth and mental health sectors, having experienced and witnessed horrific events. Today, Mark believes that with support, anyone can grow from trauma (known as post-traumatic growth). Mark is now an international campaigner, keynote speaker. published author, trainer and consultant. Appearing on television and radio stations, raising awareness of mental health worldwide. He was awarded the British Citizen Award for Healthcare at Westminster in 2023.
