These works demonstrate the considerable breadth of Seidensticker's interests: apart from studies on the question of the authenticity of ancient texts, his works on central issues of interpretation, such as the role of characters or the problem of tragic peripeteia, are of interest here. Besides Greek tragedies, satirical plays, one of the author's most important fields of work, and the Latin drama are included.
