"UML Distilled" is an excellent summary and quick reference for those who want to begin learning how to use the UML to model software systems, as well as those who have the need to use the UML occasionally but need to refresh their memory of the specifics of the UML. For those new to the UML, it is a quick read and can be used to get up to speed. You can use it to immediately start creating models. The book contains summaries of all of the important model forms and tips on how to use them. Highly recommended.
