Swing from Tree to Tree
Having done my family history, I am always interested in the works that others have done on their family geneology. I was appalled at the liberties that Reed Day, the would-be writer of fiction, took in his book, for what reasons I cannot fathom, on the manipulation of a geneological tree to attempt to arrive at some desired end. The author, a word that I use loosely, should have ended up tracing his family to Queen Maude, Charlemagne, Moses and Ra.. It is a quaint book but it is not history or geneology. "Peculiar" is a word that describes the fiction that this volume casts as history. If one wishes to see how to jump from unrelated family trees in a single bound, then this is the book for you!!!! It is proof that vanity presses cater to vanity writers. A friend gave me the book and it serves as an example of how not to write.
