When seeking to understand the structure and nature of trees, this book is a great help. The book is a great help with pruning questions -- not just the guidelines, but also the reasons for making or NOT
making certain pruning cuts. This book has good photographs, good line drawings, and good logic. It deals with pruning particulars more than generalities, which is unusual in a pruning book. If you prune trees and want good success, follow the guidelines in this book. This book is above average by far. The book verges on being spendy, but not as much as some other tree books, and is worth its' cost.
