Good Only. Small octavo, 5 x 7.5 in., pp. vii + [1] + 226 + 4 (advertising). Green cloth boards with frame and design embossed in blind. Gilt title to spine. Rubbing to extremities; corners are bumped. Scratches to bottom of spine. Owner signature on front pastedown. Light foxing to fore-edge and opening leaves. Small one-inch point of exposure to front hinge, and a little giving-way between pages 224/225, but hinge holding. Solid reading copy. Peter O'Leary, a London stonemason of Irish extraction, was sent to North America in 1874 to assess the possibilities for Irish laborers.
