I've had the first book for a long time and did not realize that there was a sequel. I enjoyed it as much as the first. Sort of a Dracula meets Sherlock Holmes.

Excellent sequel!
Barbara Hambly keeps you on the edge of your seat with this sequel to "Those Who Hunt the Night." We have the professor in trouble again as he uncovers a plot among dangerous men to use vampires in the coming world war. He's off to Europe to get to the bottom of it. His intrepid wife is sure he's in danger and goes to their old comrade in arms, the vampire Ysidro, for help in finding her husband among Europe's vampires. It's more her story than her husband's this time, although you learn some interesting tidbits about him you didn't know before. And you get to enjoy Ysidro for another great story! Woo hoo! I didn't give this book 5 stars as I did its predecessor, because that one is a classic. But this one is nearly as good and deserves 4 1/2 stars really.
