This book was recommended by a psychotherapist and it addresses the post-traumatic stress in adulthood resulting from an abusive, non-nurturing childhood. Since that opinion is on the cutting edge there is not much depth...but the opinion/diagnosis is accurate. It mostly deals with PTS of war veterans and for that I would give a 5-Star recommendation knowing first hand it is astutely accurate, having married a Vietnam vet.
