Despite the admonitions of his money-hungry grandson Zach (Geoffrey Nauffts), club owner Sam Brown (Hal Linden) insists upon keeping the place open unless he is told otherwise by "The Countess", a mysterious singer who'd helped save the club some thirty years earlier.
