This is Norb Vonnegut's first book, and it shows. The book needs a lot of polishing.
Although the story line is good, the depiction of stock brokers doesn't ring true. I've known a few, and they wouldn't fit anywhere in this story.
Was completely turned off by the use of gutter language; the "f" word, among others would have you think stock brokers had very limited vocabularies, and it certainly detracted from a good story line.
I have heard and used much of the offensive language used here, but not in my business or social life.
By contrast, read a current book "The Associate" by John Gresham, or, farther back in time, read "The Caine Mutiny" as examples of avoiding the use of gutter language to tell a story.
If this author writes another novel, I'll buy it and see if he has progressed. So far I am disappointed.
