A million and one bands followed the Ramones, aping and aiming for the perfect three-chord sneer as well as the proper velocity for punk. One of the longest-lasting (but that's not saying much, really) punk bands with the Ramones' vibe are the Queers. While most bands just went for the speed of the Ramones, the Queers also chose to follow up on Joey R. and pals' other tendency -- the Phil Spector/Brian Wilson '60s pop sound.
