Then she took a stitch down deep into the cloth, and ripped it out, and took up one half of the seam by way of improvement. Then she knotted her thread; then she broke it; then she lost her needle again; after that, she pricked her finger. By way of a little variety, she also tipped over her basket again. "I'll be sick if I do so much hard work, mamma. I don't believe it's good for me." No answer. "Besides, I've sewed it on to my apron." No answer.
