Atlantis was doomed. This great civilization, known for its advanced culture and spiritual supremacy, had become a snake pit of intrigue teeming with factious groups vying for power and control. In Time Out of Mind, author Solara Vayanian delivers an unforgettable drama that tells of the breakdown of the priesthood, the hidden scientific experiments in genetic engineering which produced things -- part human and part animal -- and other atrocities; the infiltration by the dark lords of Orion; and the implantation of the human body with a device to fuel the Orion wars. lords who had shape-shifting abilities, meaning they could change their own shape into that of another person or animal. Krazen shape shifted himself into the persona of Letaglia and surreptitiously followed the light team to Atlantis. His shape shift was so clever, they never suspected he was masquerading as their colleague - at least at first. Letaglia finds that he is unreasonably attracted to Tatalec, one of the priestesses of Atlantis. He has no control over his overwhelming compulsion to dominate her. Tatalec, normally a sensible, well-trained priestess, is unable to resist his efforts when he comes to the temple far too frequently for sexual renewal and balancing. Krazen degrades these ritualistic renewal rites that are sacred to the Atlanteans, and finds himself confronted with the tragic consequences of his lust.
