The author, June Gardner, were best friends and sweethearts for seventy years, since the age of sixteen. On September 4, 1954 they repeated in their marriage vows the words "'Til death do us part." Together they pastored ten churches in five states over a period of sixty-three years. June describes her husband's declining health during the last six years of marriage, culminating with his passing on Memorial Day, 2021 after only thirteen days in the hospital. Each of those thirteen days are chronicled with daily posts to friends and family citing a roller coaster of good days and bad days. After his passing in a Hospice House after spending only two days there, June describes her feeling of grief and the presence of the Holy Spirit who gave her joy and peace after losing her dearly beloved soulmate, waking up every morning with a song in her heart. When she was unable to find a sujpport group to help her through trhe early days of grief, she started one in her church which helped her in coping with her grief while helping others at the same time. June used the year after Norman's parting to memorialize him by completing and having published three books he had started but never finished while spending the winter with her only two children living inFloriday. After four months, she returned home and prepared for a dream trip to the home of her ancestors in Ireland and Scotland. Her three brothers came and spent the first anniversary of her husband's death with her. She spend most of the summer after that conducting four book launches and visiting family and friends in Florida and North Carolina followed by a bus tour to the Amish Country in Pennsylvania and to Washington, DC. With only two months left at home before goiong back to Florida to spend the winter again with family, June had six years of her hsband's sermon tapes copied from his las pastorate. She was so amazed at the quality of the messatges that shse decided with the help of her son an grandson in putting the best ones on YouTube. June feels that now her ministry is to complete her husband's ministry by viewing the tapes and seeking the Lord's help in selecting those which best enable God's Word to be available on YouTube. . .
