If you are interested in understanding Chinese political strategy, then this book is a more important than Art of War or many better known texts. It contains translations and notes on the works of the Master of Demon Valley (also known as the Master of Ghost Valley) and the Master of the Hidden Storehouse.
Sadly, this is the only current English language translation of the works of the Master of Demon Valley. The previous translation was done in the 1930s and is unavailable, so if you want to read this work, then this is the only way you'll get it.
The translation is quite readable, but the notes could be more comprehensive. Still, it does not significantly impede the appreciation of these important works.
