This is a collection of three stories of first love and second chances. The first one, called Somebody, is about a woman who is having marriage trouble. After an argument, her husband leaves on a business trip. His plane crashes into the Atlantic. She relives their relationship as she awaits word from the airline. It was realistic in regards to the changes that can happen in a marriage over time, if you don't work at it. The second one, In Care Of, was the best. In it, an author receives a letter from his first love. He is happily married, with children, but has no closure with his first love, and he realizes he's still in love with her. He must decide whether or not he'll meet with her. It's full of heavy feelings of regret and "what ifs?" which we all have. He realizes ..."all mistakes can be forgiven. But consequences can last a lifetime." I liked how this one was resolved. The third story, Still Life at Sunset, was so confusing. I don't know who married whom and when. Did they meet in Puerto Vallarta or in highschool? Was he married to Denise before or after he married Anna the second time? When did he make the video? on their first honeymoon or their second? I didn't like this one.
