Profusely illustrated throughout w/beautiful full-page images by Gustave Dore and entertaining partial-page drawings, decoration, etc. by A. Robida. Bind fine; hinges intact. Scarce dust wrapper moderate wear, some chip; unclipped 2.50, protected in new clear sleeve. The Rabelaisian giants offered here are the most marvelous in literature. The tales of Grandgousier, the good-natured guzzler, the lusty Gargantua, and the noble Pantagruel are too wonderful for any one to miss. Adapted for ease of reading by John Dimtry.
