Nick Nolte stars as a bank robber named Lucas, recently released from prison, who ambles into a bank to open up a checking account. Into the bank enters the inept Ned (Martin Short), who tries to rob the place and takes Lucas hostage. The police, knowing Lucas's criminal history, assume Lucas and Ned are pulling the heist together. With no choice in the matter, Lucas is compelled to engineer their getaway. Seller's Description:
Nick Nolte, Martin Short, Sarah Rowland Doroff, James Earl Jones, Alan Ruck. Very good in very good packaging. Language: English. Run time: 96 mins. Originally released: 1989.
Martin Short was at his hysterical best. Like a rag doll in the hands of Nick Nolte. The little girl almost made me change my mind about having children; she was so adorable. Favorite scenes: Short with the grenade and panty hose during the bank robbery. When the Vet quietly brought in a can of dog food and put it in a bowl on the floor for Nolte. And when they are driving for the boarder Short's wig flies out the window. By the time they find it and he puts it back on he looks like a rooster. The comedic timing was exceptional. The actors they choose were perfect. All in all it was one of those laugh out loud movies that you can watch over and over again.
