The trio are soon hard at work in cases that range over England and into Scotland, working against demonic forces, a horrible Egyptian Curse, ghostly encounters, a vampire, and witchery. In their several expeditions, they work with such famed sleuths (of both the natural and the "abnatural") as Dr. Joseph Bell, Abraham Van Helsing, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, and a young Thomas Carnacki. This Victorian triumvirate of investigators of the Weird, the Supernatural, and the Occult take their place alongside the characters of the rich tradition of the genre of the Occult Detective. This collection also features the magnificent cover and interior artwork of Yves Tourigny-certainly one of the premier illustrators of our era.
