In this book, Robert Griffith attempts to press the 'reset' button on love by exploring the foundational truth found in 1 John 4:10, "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." This must always be our starting point. There is good reason why the most quoted verse in the Bible is John 3:16 which begins with, " For God so loved the world ..." To discuss love in a Christian context, we should always begin with God, Who is love. It is God's love, lavished upon us in and through Christ, which must be the foundation and source of all true love in us.
