Having endured unimaginable ordeals and terrors in prison, he was forced to volunteer to stay in the labor camp after his release. He was exonerated in 1982 and started to write his miserable experiences at the age of 76 to expose the evils in the campaign after the Tiananmen Massacre in 1989. The memoir records the life in the forced labor camp and facts in the political campaigns, which will provide evidences and details for that part of the history.
