Every day adds a few more to the list of new locations dis covered and mining claims developed into paying properties. The old quartz mines continue to grow in value as they acquire depth, and are developed on a large scale, showing that nature has bestowed our mountains with untold wealth. Many mining claims that had been patented several years ago and left lie idle have been opened up during the past summer with very good results. Although our largest copper mines have been closed for a period of seven months, the output of valuable metals will equal that of last years, if not exceed it.
