Good. Hardcover first edition, bound in brown cloth stamped in blind on front side and gilt on spine. No marks or writing in book. Binding is holding up well. Corners and tips have a little wear. Top edge is bumped along board edges, resulting in very short tears to cloth. No damage to text block. The Stella illustrations are not cubist or abstract; they are more Ashcan School style portraits of recently arrived immigrants.
