Gabriel Rincon was born in 1948, in Veracruz, Mexico. His studies in grade, middle, and high school and at the University of Veracruz started his passion for the history of Mexico. At the age of twenty-eight, he came to live in the United States, and after three years he could speak and understand English fluently. At the end of 1982, Gabriel became a U.S. Naturalized Citizen, allowing him to have dual citizenship. During his life in the U.S. Gabriel has learned American history and increased his knowledge of the Mexican history (1806-1872). This extra knowledge has increased his admiration for President Juarez, President Lincoln and all the heroes (and heroines), who became the makers of the civilization, inspiring him to write this book. Gabriel lives with his wife, Loralee, and their two children, Roger and Katie.
