It is the only journal in Europe covering Greece from the times of the ancient world (archaeology) up to the contemporary period on an interdisciplinary scale, allowing archaeologists, historians of ancient history, experts in medieval studies, byzantinists, osmanologists, historians of the modern and post modern period, as well as contemporary historians and political scientists to have their say in the exploration of the continuum of Greek history and culture. 'Thetis 20' is an anniversary issue. Particular highlights are the sixteen pages of reproductions of watercolors produced in Crete during the Second World War and an overview of political songs in Greece during the war, including sheet music and an audio CD.
