Some authors come to life when you hear them speaking, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes is one of those for me. She is a storry-teller, a Jungian analyst, and a cantadora (a what?) -- a keeper and teller of old stories. She tells these stories to a live audience of grown-ups and then she interprets them, applies them to life. I have heard nothing else like this in my life, and it is one of the best spoken word recordings I've ever heard. It's magical.
