Seller's Description:
Very Good in Near Fine jacket. Size: 12mo-over 6.75"-7.75" tall; Very nice hardcover in illustrated paper covered boards with very light color loss at spine ends and lower tips. 96pp text is crisp and unmarked save for a faint and small splash mark on page block fore-edge. Original price clipped dj is complete, shows micro wrinkles at upper board tips but displays beautifully. It looked just like a real pony, but it was not in a field or a stall. It was in a junk shop. And it squealed from rust and age when it walked. 'It's been stuck away for years and years, ' said Mrs. Boddy, who owned the shop, Lucky Cathy bought it for a penny. That was why it was called the penny pony. It was not a live pony, but it was the next best thing, and Cathy looked after it as if it were a real pony-until she and Roger had to go away. Then came tragedy and an amazingly 'live' & happy ending.
