I grew up with this book in my grandmother's house. Every time I went to stay with her it was the favourite. Twelve grandchildren later the pages were falling out, and now with the next generation it is in pieces. Imagine my delight then at finding a copy in almost perfect condition and in the same edition! Only a bit of browning on the edge of the pages reveal its true age. I love the black and white illustrations and the idea that posting a letter could be so exciting!
