after watching the movie, which is one of my favorites, i found out this was originally a book. after reading not even half of the book i had to put it down and walk away, it was much more intense than i had figured it would be. a lot of rape, so beware. maybe just watch the movie instead...

Great Book!
What ever the controversy about the author this book is a page turner. I love the journalistic style, the way the story comes to life with out weighing the prose down. I liked it so much it has me searching out more writing by J.T. Leroy. I would and have reccomended it to friends and family and they all agree.
