There is a one & one-half inch mostly closed-tear to paper wrapper at base of spine up and across the quarter-inch width of spine. Binding remains sound. There is a facsimile copy of August 1863 (first version) of the Tale, tipped in to book at rear verso of cover. This tale is shown to develop through three version into the famous piece of Twain's classic Roughing It, 1872. (58 pages)
