Hardcover in green cloth with red titles on spine and front, in grey, black and pink F L [Francie lee] Jaques illustrated jacket, 8vo. 233pp. B/W plates. VG-/VG-. Book has softened spine ends and 1/8" diameter surface puncture (not through hole) as from pen point just below mid upper front edge with no fraying or associated damage; cloth and titles otherwise clean and sharp. Binding strong and square; pages well-toned but clean and unmarked on somewhat off-quality post-war stock. Jacket has abrasion with touches of surface loss along edges and hinges, fairly strong along lower front edge but all below author's name; moderate rubbing/toning to rear panel with occasional rubbing to overall clean and bright front panel. Jaques illustration especially strking. Scarce, especially in jacket. Prev. owners name/info stamps front and rear pastedowns, small former price stamp ffep. Jacket in Brodart.
