Good+ in Poor dust jacket. SIGNED and inscribed on front endpaper by Samuel M. Zwemer.; The book is clean with solid binding. A touch of light shelf wear to boards and a beginning split in the gutter between front endpaper and the half title page, otherwise in Very Good condition. Dustjacket shows wear with tears and chips, but is neatly tape repaired on the inside and looks Good in the new Mylar cover that now protects it. Not ex-library.; Samuel Marinus Zwemer (1867 – 1952), known as The Apostle to Islam, was an American missionary, traveler, and scholar. He was a missionary at Busrah, Bahrein, and at other locations in Arabia from 1891 to 1905. He was a member of the Arabian Mission (1890–1913), and served in Egypt from 1913 to 1929. In 1929 he was appointed professor of missions and professor of the history of religion at the Princeton Theological Seminary, where he taught until 1937.; Signed books by Professor Zwemer are very scarce.; 8vo; 292 pages; Signed by Author.
