Acceptable. NY: Duell Sloan and Pearce 1946. Early printing. Hardcover 8vo 527 pgs. B/w illustrations. Near good with no dust jacket. Blue cloth with silver lettering. Wear to corners and spine ends. Spine slant. Cover soiled and silver on spine worn off. Contents clean and binding sound but pg 429 was torn out and inexpertly taped back in. Tape is browned and has caused stains to pgs 248 and 430-31. NO book club mark on rear cover. First edition, since this of course there have been many updates but there is nothing like simply having the original, right? So if you find it go ahead it's fantastic!!!
