The book is a classic. However, this British edition from alibris is fantastic! It includes very beautiful endpapers I've never seen before! Thank you very much.

Fascinating!
How I wish Beaumont had written one for all the major ballets in the repertoire! Giselle is one ballet we can expect to see in something approaching its original form, so being able to know what that was is very helpful. What's been lost is sometimes as important as what's been kept. The value to the stager and the dancer is immense and unarguable, but the balletomane and less fanatical ballet goer will also profit from reading this book.
