Docker was an English cricketer and businessman. He played cricket for Derbyshire between 1881 and 1886. In half calf bindings with cloth covered boards. Externally, sound with slight rubbing to the spines and extremities. Small patches of heavy rubbing to the joints as well. Backstrip to volume I is lifting at rear. Loss to the head and tail of spine to volume I. Front joint is tender to volume I. Prior owner's bookplate to front pastedown of all volumes Ludford Charles Docker. Loss to extremities at the rear of volume I. Crack to tail of front joint to volume III. Front hinge to volume III is slightly strained but firm. Offsetting to endpapers. Front hinge to volume VII is slightly strained but firm. Backstrip to volume VII is lifting at the front joint. Front hinge to volume VIII is slightly strained but firm. Front hinge to volume XIII is tender. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot throughout. Good.
