Very Good. No Jacket. 12mo-over 6¾"-7¾" tall. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of Fielding's greatest creation, "Tom Jones." Full leather binding of smooth calf. Clean text; xxiv, 363 pages. Frontis, and one other, engraving. the text is generally quite bright and unfoxed. There is an armourial bookplate on the front paste-down, and a contemporary signature on the FFEP. Bumped corners, with the spine having two large chips. Although holding well, Quercus suggests this would be an excellent candidate for a nice rebind.
