Thoroughly enjoyable. The book is a little work of art and a pleasure to read.
The Women of Nell Gwynne's works well as a standalone novella of the 'steampunk' genre.
There is tie-in to Baker's 'The Company' series including links to the mentioned Gentlemen's Speculative Society.
The characters are introduced with enough background to bring them to life. Throughout, the pace is good, as the story is interwoven and brought to its final resolution with moments of hilarity juxtaposed with the bittersweet. Overall, a good, entertaining little read.
