Morris filled his pipe and lighted it, and held the match as it burned until the flames scorched his fingers. Then he tossed it out of the window. "Ah, these term-ends!" he said with a little smile that was half a sigh. "Frankly, they're the devil, aren't they?" rejoined Deering. "I had no idea I would mind so much.
