Seller's Description:
Revised Edition. Near fine glossy stiff wraps with strong square spine and crisp bright text throughout. Illustrations are photographs from a travel scholar. Briefest subtle notes from a scholar's library only to the text. Attractive.
I read this book last year, right before spending six months in Nepal. I was teaching English, very similiar to the author of this book. I enjoyed the book, and learned a lot, but Nepal is a quickly changing country.
For story factor, this is a fantastic read. Scot has a great conversational tone, and managed to outline both the positive times, and the challanges. She was open about talking about missing her family so far away, but also about her personal reasons for being willing to leave them for a year to go this journey to both help people, and for her own personal growth.
