One of the first pieces entitled 'Fierce Raiders Attack the Coast' is an exciting and dramatic piece about the Vikings attacking British towns. The student will enjoy tackling the trills and dramatic accents in this piece. In contrast, another piece called 'Thatched Straw Roofs' is a relaxing ballad with a lovely cantabile melodic line. Further books in this series include 'The Tudor's' aimed at Grade 2 pupils and 'The Victorians' aimed at Grade 3+ pupils.
