Bright, clean covers & spine; very slightly rubbed at spine end corners; tightly bound; minor dusting on text block edges; owner's blind stamped, embossed initials (small) on title page; very clean interior. Off white DJ with red-orange pictorial design (replicating cover design), black letters. In Brodart-type mylar; lightly soiled/foxed; 2 inch by 3/4 inch chip missing at back cover top inner corner onto spine head. Publisher's address indicates 1900-1912 printing; copyright page states 'Published, July, 1910', which is the original Baker & Taylor print date. This title page differs from 1st edition in listing author's works including 'Tennessee Shad', which published 1911. So this printing was late 1911 or early 1912. 12mo, 396 pp; illustrated by F.R. Gruger.
