This book has been around for a while but I just discovered it, and it felt like an old friend first time through. In a very short time it's become highlighted, dog-eared & tattered & lives in its very own spot on my bedside table. Buddha, Emerson, Tolle, Katie and more have presented the same basic information, but perhaps none have done so as simply & accessibly as Singer does here. This is a user's manual for living in peace in the midst of the craziness of modern day life. If you haven't read it, do! If you buy a copy, buy two; you're going to want to pass it on to at least one friend.

Singer's writing reaches inside the soul
The Untethered Soul is a book that will certainly allow the reader to view how much we are attached to our egos. It reminds us that we need our egos, and yet an over-dependence or over-attachment will just keep us stuck doing things that leave us limiting ourselves. The cover image is an excellent one to show that when we are able to untether ourselves from being slaves to our ego, we can and we will find out what it's like to follow our spiritual dreams and longings. We can be free to soar and feel the wind of spirit on our face and tossing our hair into the unknown beauty of the soul. Unlimited kudos to author Michael A. Singer for being able to use words to take the reader through the ego-battle and out the other side where we recognize that we already know how to be free and untethered! An excellent read for those who have been on the spiritual path for awhile and need a challenge.
