Re-massaged into the present day by the likes of Herbal 6 man Olav Basoski, Murk boys Oscar Gaetan and Ralph Falcon, and N.Y. DJ Danny Krivit are several of the group's better-known moments. One of the more successful here occurs when producer Mousse T reunites with Boris Dlugosch for a skillful go at the 1974 R&B chart hit "The Player." But the majority of the tracks lack much spice to them at all. As standard club fare, Full Intention's reworking of the group breakthrough single "Armed and Extremely Dangerous" is probably the best cut, but with over 12 tracks, the lack of new hooks does little to keep interest afloat. Even the resurfacing of the Gambafreaks' single version of "Gotta Get Away" does little to add spark to these obviously classic, soulful voices. ~ JoE Silva, Rovi
