Very Good in Poor jacket. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. 473pp. Original full blue cloth, gilt spine letters; very good. Pages lightly to moderately age-toned, else very good. Original printed dj; soiled, torn, chipped, poor only. Tardieu, conservative and nationalist, was the French delegate at the Paris Peace Conference during the aftermath of WWI. The French led the hardline on German reparations and disarmament, contrary to the original desires of England and US. Later, briefly, Tardieu served as prime minister of France, 1929-30, 1932.
