Today's globalization and America's role in it is tragic for the American people today, not the Open Door policy of American diplomacy prior to economic globalization. The book argues that American foreign policy has always been about economics and I would argue that it still is. The problem today is our leaders are selling out Americans, rather than benefiting Americans at the expense of others.
