Chicago District.--We appreciate that the Chicago District has recently been allotted considerable space for showing various photographs, but the employes of the District are always anxious to read local jots contributed to the Star. The following letter was written by an eleven years old boy, who is greatly interested in the Texaco Star, especially in items regarding the Chicago District: Mr. H. T. Snell, Chicago, 11i. Dear Sir: While I was looking over the Texaco Star I did not see any Chicago news, and I hope this letter will make somebody wake up down there, because I am very interested in the Chicago District. If you have one of those little red flivvers to run around in, you ought to be able to fill the Star up with Chicago news. Yours truly, A son of an employe in the Chicago Office. EXPORT Magne Kjellcsvig, who was for DEPT a numDer of years engaged in civil engineering and contracting work in Mexico and Cuba, recently entered the service of the Export Department and is now in Porto Rico. W. G. Moore, accompanied by O. Guelcher, recently left New York for Kingston, Jamaica. L. D. Rose is now in London. From information recentlv received we learned that H. W. Russell and R. T. Williams arrived on January 18 in the Philippine Islands, to which territory they were assigned a month or two previously.
