Excerpt from The Statutes and Orders, Relating to the Practice and Jurisdiction of the Court of Chancery: And of the Court of Error and Appeal Since the last edition of this work was published several important statutes affecting the Court of Chan cery have been added to the Statute Book. Of these the Chancery Act, 28 Vic., c. 17, extending the jurisdiction of the Court in matters of Lunacy, the Act for Quieting Titles and the Property and Trusts Act are included in this edition. The sections of the Acts relating to County Courts, the Limitation of Actions, and Evidence, printed in the last edition, have been omitted, and in their place the Law Stamp Act, and those important sections of the Attorneys' Act, providing for the delivery and taxation of bills of costs have been given. During the present year the work of consolidating the General Orders of the Court has been accomplished. This Will prove a great boon to the profession, for although the consolidation is not so perfect as might be wished, the Orders of Court are now collected together and reduced to a more manageable form. A Table of the Abrogated Orders shewing the Consoli dated Orders into which they are incorporated is pre fixed to this edition.
