the journey of a million cups
I love coffee, though I keep it to 1 per day. My favourite is a cafe latte. As the end user of a product I am profoundly interested in the the journey of my coffee, from the plant to the cup, but was equally intreges me is the journey of starbucks. As an Ausralian I do not think I have seen such an amazing leap of a handful of stores to international presence of a solo based product, coffee.
What was good about this book that though it is built on previous works of Michelli, I still feel respected as a reader not to assume I have read his previous work, let alone any other publictations on Starbucks.
I found myself on reading the journey of Starbucks in this book amazed at, though it is an international company, still maintain the grass roots and orginal vales and beliefs that were present in it inception. I am truely amazied at Michelli clever writing style that holds your hand through the process.
I believe that if you read this book and apply where appropriate the Starbucks key five principles that you have the winning formula to create a successful business and a great experence for your customers! To help further encourage you to do better I have enjoyed how Michelli has placed throughout this work questions for you to ask of yourself and your organisation
Well done Michelli!
