Perhaps the best claim of this book to the attention of the public is the fact that it is directly due to requests ofmany leading educators for a Manual to comprise the cone system of Voice Training, - a thorough, scientific course of vocal education for speech. This book is not designed to be used as a Reader, only such brief excerpts of literature being given as are required for practice. The endeavor has been to produce a work which shall meet the varied needs of both teachers and pupils and as the cone charts (now in use in the Boston public schools and elsewhere) have proved of exceptional value in voice-development, they have been embodied herein.
