"Here, good woman," he said kindly, tossing to her a large part of the gold which the Fairy had given him, "take this. I haven't time to stop to help you up, as I am in a big hurry, but I hear some one coming and perhaps he will help you.' He hesitated a moment, and then decided that he would return to the city, thinking that in no better way could he spend his money than in buying new clothes and adornments for his handsome self, and later on there would be plenty of time to go in search of Aurora's hair.
